From the passage tomb at Newgrange, where the solstice sunrise still reaches the inner chamber, to the temples of Egypt aligned to the same dawn, people have marked this night for thousands of years. Many traditions told it as the birth of a child of light. Beneath every version is something simple: the returning light begins small, like a seed under winter earth, and it begins within.

This is the midnight of the year. We’ll honour the dark as a place of rest and quiet gestation, explore what the solstice has meant across ancient traditions, and sense what it asks of us now.

Within the ceremony you’ll receive teaching on the deeper meaning of the solstice, a guided shamanic journey, breathwork and meditation, drumming, sacred sound and mantra. Throughout, the space is held as transmission, so much of what moves in you will be felt rather than explained.
